Night Cream...Important or not??

Skin is one of the most important organs in the human body. Except being the largest organ in the body, it provides the power of feeling to us. So we have to care skin in the best possible way, so that it always remains problem free and vibrant. Applying night cream before going to bed is one of the best way to keep the skin healthy and glowing. While you are asleep the night cream, which has ingredients like vitamins and anti-ageing components, nourish your skin.Although our face is not exposed to the sunlight, the skin can get dry overnight, because the metabolism remains active. The night creams are thicker and more intensive as compared to ordinary moisturizers the reason being you don´t require to apply makeup on the top of them.

To make the most of your night creams, take a little cream and apply it in upward, circular motion to evenly massage the night cream on your face. Don't apply the night cream on your upper lids of your eyes before sleeping or else you will wake up with puffy lids. Another important ingredients to look for are Jasmine oil and rose oil which help you to rehydrate your skin and helps in decreasing wrinkles and reinstates the slack muscles of your face.Night ointment work like an tonic for exhausted, stressed skin.Night cream repairs the loss the skin has gone through in the daytime. Therefore due to these reasons it becomes very important to apply night cream in the night.

Now that you know how important it is to apply night cream regularly, I would discuss a few night creams that I have used till date and which one I found the best....

1.Garnier Essential Care Replenishing Night Cream :-

Price - Rs.129/-

This is the first night cream i started using and this made me believe in the magic of night creams! This makes your skin feel firm and supple in just a few weeks uses...And at this price, it's practically a steal! It doesn't leave any greasy feeling and spreads easily on the skin and in the morning you yourself see the difference. For the ppl who want to start using night creams, this one is the best out there in my opinion.

2.Elizabeth Arden Good Night's Sleep Restoring Cream :-

Price - Rs.1800/-
Description - Our deeply moisturizing dream cream helps restore, repair and strengthen the look of skin from daytime damage to look and feel firmer and more resilient. Fine lines and wrinkles are softened and skin is conditioned and fresher looking. Aromatic lavender and honeysuckle help ease away the cares of the day.
I used this for two week as I received sample size of this with another purchase.I quite liked it and the results showed in just one week! My skin became radiant and firm.It is a bit costly for a night cream and that is the reason I didn't buy the actual product. But hey! if you are ready to splurge, go for this one, you won't regret...It's one of my favorite brands in skincare.

3.LUSH Imperialis Moisturizer :-

Price - Rs.1130
Description - Imperialis is a good value, finely crafted moisturiser for all kinds of skin. It's made with lavender infusion to balance the skin's sebum production. Lavender encourages dry skin to produce more natural oils and discourages oily skin from overdoing it. Imperialis has loads of helpful plant ingredients, like orange flower water to tone your skin and St John's wort to soothe irritations. It's whipped up with a collection of butters and natural oils to make it not too heavy and not too light, bordering on perfect. If you're not sure which moisturiser is for you, start here.

This is technically not a night cream but it has all the ingredients of one.It has various essential oils and soothing ingredients and I love using it at night. It has cleared up my skin and now my skin is in the best condition ever!! Everyday I wake up to a beautiful glowing skin with no fine lines and fresh as a rose...I love this one.It is a really good value moisturizer, I bought this in June and it's still going strong and you can hardly notice any difference in the quantity even after 2 months..!!!I think this is gonna last me at least 3-4 more months...I definitely recommend this one...he he..m such a Lushie!

Hope this help you ppl in discovering your night cream. And if you already use one, do share your experience with it..

Hi Srish, what a helpful blog! I have been using nightcreams for the last four years now and it's really good for my skin. I am using the one from AOK Pur Balance (I don't know if it is available in India, but I will write a review about it on my blog soon)
