Review - Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

So, today I finally gathered up the courage to review Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse...I have this foundation in Light 2, which I think is 2 shades lighter compared to my skin tone...Actually, my mom got this for me and turns out in her opinion, I am miss Snowfairy...lolz!
What Maybelline says about this product:

Revolutionary whipped formula provides an air-soft, perfect matte finish coverage, with a weightless feel.
- Color pigments offer superior coverage
- Blends effortlessly for a soft, natural-looking, even-toned result

This is how it looks...

First of all, I find this foundation difficult to's very dry and definitely not recommended for dry skinned ppl...
I have tried to take pictures step by step so you know what I'm talking about...

As you can see in this picture, it's a very dry product...I have exfoliated my hands and moisturized it fairly enough for it to go on smoothly.

Still it's very difficult to blend...I first used patting motion to distribute this product in the area to be covered and then I tried to rub it in with my fingers. Finally, I used a large powder brush to blend it in.

You can see how it leaves a white cast on my is a lighter shade than my skin tone but still I don't feel that even if that was not the problem, it would have satisfied me.
I just used it once and was disgusted with this product (sorry mom), I stopped using it.

But then I finally figured out a few ways how I can use it up, as I hate throwing out makeup...
1.I use it as a highlighter to highlight my nose, under my eyebrows, my chin and my cupid's bow.
2.I use it as a concealer for covering the purples under my does a fairly decent job.

I have almost 90% still left in the container..I like the packaging, looks nice, but the product is no good...

Price - Rs.500 (approx)
Rating - 0.5/5
Would I recommend? - NO! not to anyone, save your money and get something which is useful!!
Will I repurchase - Hell NO!!!!

@Christine - No, I would definitely say NEVER buy this...go for a liquid foundation..or most preferably, tinted moisturizer...

I bought this a few years ago and I hated it! It looked so heavy and it didn't blend well !! I have oily skin with dry patches around the mouth and on the sides of the nose!

@Stavroula - Even I hate it but trying to use it up somehow....:/

I beg to differ! You just bought the wrong shade...I love how it covers flaws so well and fast. I buy 2 shades and mix them to get the perfect shade. Honey beige and sandy beige. It works great on me and I have normal skin. I cannot live without this foundation! I hate liquid foundations. I say give the right shade a chance girls :)
