CCI announces 12 finalists of Let's Design, Season 4

So, I was invited to an event of Let's Design held by Cotton Council International (CCI) on 29th December'11 held at Vivanta by Taj. The event seemed quite interesting to me as the participants were mostly fashion students and being one of them myself, I felt this was a great opportunity to know about their experiences and how they landed up here,etc etc. The jury members were none other than Shantanu MehraNikhil Mehra (The famous duo, Shantanu & Nikhil) and Rina Dhaka. The CCI Representative, Ms. Agnieszka Fijol also graced the event with her presence. And Neha Dhupia also made a glamorous appearance to announce the finalists and present them with their Let's Design Wristbands. The whole event was quite something!

There were actually supposed to be 12 finalists but Nikhil suggested one more contestant who quite fit the bill to be a finalist and hence, now there 13 finalists!! Lucky guy!!

I absolutely fell in love with the neon watch Nikhil was wearing. Ah! I hope my love for these stunningly hot & citrus colors never ends!!

I had a gala time at the event and really enjoying meeting some amazing people. Komal from The Delhi fashion Blogger was charming as ever and Akanksha from Akanksha Redhu was fierce and charismatic. It was so lovely getting to know these people in person! I would also like to thank the lovely Sonal for inviting me and being so hospitable and yes, for being super sweet about everything!! :)

Wearing 4 trends together!

So, I went to the Let's Design Season 4 event yesterday about which I will be posting tonight. And can I just say, it was the best way to end the year!!! If you follow me on twitter, you will know why..It will be kind of hard to overlook...lol!!
I wore this outfit to the event. I tried to combine a couple of trends together without overdoing it.

The trends are:
- Polka Dots
- Citrus Colors
- Burgundy color
- Shorts

These are some of the major trends for this fall season.It is tricky to wear so many trends at once but I think I did alright. At least Nikhil Mehra from Shantanu & Nikhil thinks so (sorry, I couldn't resist saying it again!lol!)

{Top/Blazer - Zara, Shorts/Ring - Forever 21, Bag - Aldo, Stockings/Shoes - Asos, Scarf - oops, don't remember!}

These pictures were taken after the event. I met up afterwards with another friend and went for some chaat, golgappe and then some Mississippi Mud Pie...Yummmm...The day turned out to be one of the best ones, surprisingly!! Now, I am gonna go shopping and when I come back, I will show you guys pictures of the event :) Ciao!!

TNC "Lily Of The Valley" Body Lotion Review

I think every one of you must be familiar with the brand, The Nature's Co.. For those who are not, TNC is a brand which offers skincare products which are all natural, as the name suggests. This brand is special not only because their products are natural but also, they are Vegan. This means that they don’t use any kind of animal derived ingredients in any of their products. Including, ingredients like milk, honey, beeswax and lanolin which are a few of the essential materials in any skin care product. Their products are not tested on animals and even their product packaging is recyclable and bio-degradable. How cool is that!

The product that I am reviewing today is a body lotion from their Atmospure Range, "Lily of the Valley". This lotion is especially for dry and sensitive skin.

Though I have a fairly normal skin, they do tend to get dry in the winter season. This lotion is like a boon for me! I mean it!! It is super moisturizing and smells incredible. The smell is something like exotic plants.Which is obvious as the main ingredient in this product is an exotic plant only. The pictures I have taken are sort of self-explanatory.

The only thing that I thought can be a bad point in this product is the price. It is a little expensive for a body lotion. But honestly, the product itself is so good, you would love to spend and indulge!

P.S.- This product was sent to me by the PR.

Christmas Eve Party

I had an amazing time this Christmas and I wanted to share a few pictures from the party...I would have shared more but was not sure if I should publish all my friend's pictures online without asking them, they might not be comfortable...and there are too many people and it would be quite a task to ask them all, and let's admit it, I am lazy :P

Well, here's me! With all the Christmas props I could hold up at once...LOL!!

A few more posts are coming up very shortly ^_____^

Casually red

{Dress - thrifted, Stockings - Asos, Cardi - Singapore, Bag - Zara, Belt - Globus, Shoes - Carlton London}

The quintessential red holiday pout is popping up everywhere. I see them on fashion bloggers, beauty bloggers, Youtube gurus and several fashion icons. If you haven't noticed, I am not the red lippy kinda person. I wear this particular bold color occasionally. Though wearing red lips for a casual day in winters is not something that bloggers would see as a challenge but it's quite a big one for me. It's daring to wear this color in day time and with a casual outfit (Again, I speak for me only). So, I gave the trend a chance and surprisingly, it wasn't that hard! There definitely is a relationship between winters and red lips! They go hand in hand. I say, girl go ahead and try it, it will surprise you how red lips in winters is similar to coral lips in summer.Easy!
