Romantic Neutrals

{Top- Only, Pants - Gift from a friend, Bag - Aldo, Hat - Asos, Shoes - U.S., Necklace - Singapore}

Okay, let me confess, this outfit is a few weeks old. I had the pictures from that day's shoot but I did not had the time to post them ( Now you don't think I am a paranoid to actually wear this outfit in the face of Fall!!). Actually I have four pending drafts in my account right now that I need to post whenever I get time.I hate the fact that I don't get proper time to blog these days. But anyways, I have got the time today and I am not gonna whine it away.

So, I have been into color blocking trend a lot. But, I really wanted to wear all soft and neutral colors for a change. I pulled out a couple of neutral pieces from my wardrobe and this outfit appeared out of nowhere. I added the hat in the end to give it a slight European feel...:P It's a really comfortable and romantic outfit in my opinion, very summer-ey...I loved it to bits!

On a completely different note, I re-arranged and categorized my wardrobe recently and it took me 3 hours! I packed away all the clothes that I haven't been wearing and won't ever wear again and made some space for my woolens. I labelled every section and now my wardrobe looks so much neater and every piece of clothing is now easily accessible. God knows, how many clothes had been hiding under piles and piles of clothes with still their price tags on. I am so glad I re-did the whole thing and I will be able to use everything that my wardrobe has to offer. I have categorized them like types of clothing, for e.g., Tank Tops, Tees, Dresses, Skirts & Shorts, Jumpsuits, Cardigans, etc etc....
How do you guys organize your wardrobes? Any tips?

Wearable Fall Fashion Trends 2011

The one thing I have always disliked about Fall/Winter is getting up early in the morning at 5am to get ready for school. My school bus used to pick me up at 6:30am so I had absolutely no choice. But now that my college starts at 9am, I have to get up by 7 and .......nah! I still dislike it! It's the only thing I will never ever grow to like even the slightest bit. I love curling up in a warm blanket and somehow early morning feels like the perfect time to do it.

But I love fall fashion to bits!! All the layering, knee-high boots, cozy woolen scarves and stylish jackets....**sigh** And this year, I am even more excited because the fashion this year is very fresh and new and COLORFUL!!! Fall has always been all about blacks, greys, blues and all other dark shades but not this year!Read ahead and you'll know...

1.CHUNKY KNITS

A must-have this season, especially in champagne color. Just pair it up with skinny jeans, some boots, add a couple of gold accessories and you have a super chic outfit that would almost never go out of style! (Unless Snooki becomes the new fashion icon.)

2.BRIGHT COLORED PANTS

I was over-joyed when I read about this trend. You see, I have stocked up on colored pants this summers so it's a relief to know that they are still IN and not only this fall, but next summers as well ^_____^
These are the easiest to wear, imagine the same outfit I had just described above and replace the normal skinnies for a hot pair of electric blue pants (or any color for that matter) and it takes the outfit from chic to bang on trend!

3.LEATHER

Yes, leather is totally the hottest trend this fall. Do it with leather pants, leather shorts or leather jackets...they are all in. Just don't go overboard with it.One piece at a time is the key ;)

4.PONCHO

I have been eyeing a poncho style jacket for the longest time and I think now is the time to take the plunge. If you are not sure how to style them, go watch Gossip Girl. Blair Waldorf has worn them practically the best ways possible.

5.PLAIDS AND TARTANS

Honestly, I am not a big fan of this trend but if you are, then go crazy with plaids. They are all the rage this fall.

6.BOLD AND GRAPHIC STRIPES

And once again, the stripes RULES!!!! Saying that I love stripes would be a huge understatement.I have practically every striped piece you can imagine, be it dresses, skirts, tees, socks, boyfriend blazer, and even  night dresses :P
I am so excited to stock up on more graphic and bold stripes, maybe a cardigan or a nice chunky sweater....

7.POLKA DOTS

How cute are these pieces!! I have always adored the cute print and this fall I am gonna stock them up. Head to Zara or Forever 21 if you also like them.

8.SHORTS

Don't pack away your shorts just yet coz they are here to stay! Just wear some stockings underneath to keep your legs warm.
I am looking forward to try this trend. Somehow, I never wore stocking under my shorts as I felt they looked kinda tacky but lately I have come across some really cute outfits with shorts and stocking that I just cannot wait to try myself!

So, are you as excited as me for this fall? Which trends are you guys looking forward to try and which ones aren't your thing?

Tommy Hilfiger A/W 2011 Collection review

A few days ago, I was approached by Tommy Hilfiger to review their new Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection . I readily accepted as I knew A loves this brand and shops from there most of the times. He was very excited to go with me and we bought a T-shirt for him as well at the end.

I really liked the ambiance of the store. It was very lively and preppy.

This long woolen dress was my favorite! I liked the warm dark colors used in the collection. But the best part was the accessories. They had amazing collection of woolen scarves, berets and gloves.

Men's collection was way more awesome than women's wear. They had polo neck tees, round neck tees, hoodies (which I loved!!) and sexy jackets. I am telling you guys, if you are wandering what to buy your guy, you brother or dad for diwali or any other occasion...head to Tommy, the collection is amazing!

Thanks to Tommy Hilfiger for giving me the opportunity to check out the collection and review it here.

P.S.- I am not a fan of the staffs though. There was some miscommunication on the management side. No one seemed to be aware of the fact that I was there to review the collection and at the end I had to show them the mail of the PR who had asked me do the review. I was interrupted by different staffs also while I was taking pictures as they didn't knew anything about the situation. Hope they take care of this problem next time.

Peter pan & Polka dots

{Red pants - Zara, Shirt/Necklace/Ring - Forever 21, Bag - Aldo, Bellies - Carlton London}

Yesterday, I went to visit Tommy Hilfiger to review their A/W Collection. The collection was pretty nice but I will do a separate post on that later.Today, here is an outfit which was requested by one of my reader. I had put up a section in my Giveaway form for suggestions or comments on how to improve my blog in any way possible. And I have been getting amazing response! People are leaving helpful suggestions and many compliments, I read them and it feels like all my hard work is paying off! Thank you so much guys!! Hey, I am  going off topic here...So, this one reader had requested me to do more simple outfit posts that people can wear more often.

Being a fashion blogger, I try lots of new stuffs and trends which normally people might not wear in daily life. I like having an excuse to dress up and look different. I like seeing people's reaction on a particular outfit.I like to experiment and mix & match different things. But, I understand every one is not like that and so, now I will be posting some regular outfits too, but a little perked up in my own way.See, I can never wear a plain tee and jeans as an outfit.I just can't! (unless, I am extremely sick or tired to dress up)I feel that wearing just a simple tee and jeans leaves SO much room for creativity that is just wasted if you don't play with it. Even by accessorizing by a simple necklace or a scarf can take the outfit to a whole new level. I will try to post more outfits like this where I will play with the basic wardrobe pieces that you all can find in your wardrobe. This way, it would be so much more easier to get inspired by the outfit and create one for yourself!I hope!

Outfit for WIFW S/S'12

Finally, here's an outfit post in what seems like ages! My health is getting better and I cannot wait to recover completely and do all the requested posts for you guys. But for now, let's pay attention to the unexpected turn of events that took place yesterday, shall we?

So, I wake up around 8:30am and it's like any usual morning. Only I had slept at 6:30 am the same morning and had been working since 6pm last evening! The viral and cold still takes the crown though.I somehow drag myself out of bed and dress up for college in whatever I could find laying at the top of my wardrobe.I could not possibly miss the college. It's Wednesday after all, the most important day of the whole week and I have two submissions today on which I had worked my a** off whole night!I didn't even bother to put some liner or blush on my face.Yes! I was THAT tired.Vaseline got lucky today.

Class was as usual, hectic as hell except me sulking a hundred degrees more than usual.Enters a teacher who doesn't even take our classes and offers passes to the whole class to go to the 4:30 show of Vineet Bahl at Will Lifestyle India Fashion Week. My face went blank just as fast as it had lit up.There were just four passes! FOUR! In a class filled with dozens and dozens of fashion frenzied girls!I had no chance. The passes were going to be given to the girls who would complete the work that was given in the class fastest.Kinda first come, first serve basis.

I gave my best and got the last pass! Supriya also snagged one but later she was very tired and didn't wanted to go and veryyy graciously offered the tickets to me so that I could take Aman with me!!She knew it would mean the world to me! Do I have the best friends in this whole world or what!

Enough with my babbling, now that you guys know how I got the chance to see the first fashion show ever, have a look at the pictures...

Ranna Gill

Nida Mahmood

I loved the show and the stalls of Ranna Gill and Nida Mahmood. They were full of colors and very interesting and unique designs. Don't you just love the lemon colored jacket in Nida's stall!!

About my outfit, well I had to get ready in 30 mins, so I put on the easiest ensemble and jazzed it up with a statement necklace, fun shoes and orange lips. And yeah, that's the Zara blazer I was talking about in the last post. I love it to death.Definitely an investment ^____^

P.S.- Did I mention, I got to sit in the front row and caught the showstopper eyeing my shoes...ha ha ha! I love my sleep-deprived life!!
