Winter Outfit Inspiration: Casual Day Out

{Top/Bag - H&M, Leggings/Cardigan - Zara, Necklace - Forever 21, Spikes Bracelet - FabAlley, Neon Bracelet - Accessorize, Shoes - Ebay}

So, the last weekend of the year is here. The last Sunday of 2012. And suddenly, I don't feel excited that a new year is knocking at the door. What's the point of celebrating new year if there is no new beginnings, no change, no justice. India is today suffering from a heartache that the recent Delhi Gang Rape Case has caused. The victim dies a gruesome death and the politicians of the nation are blaming the hem length of the skirts, the necklines, the late night movies, clubbing, the CHOWMEIN!!!!Seriously!!?? Why isn't there any comments about how some men are vicious animals who don't have any self-control and go around committing heinous crimes. Death Penalty also seems too little for them. There's a lot that has been written, said and done about this whole ordeal but is there any real tangible result? Will India ever be a safe place for us? Will it be safe for us to wear what we want, go out when we want? Too many questions and no answers....

And yes, Have a Happy & Safe New Year!

Winter Outfit Inspiration: Leather Pants - Sunny Side Up!!

{Leather Pants/Shoes - Zara, T-shirt/Cardigan - Mango, Watch/Bracelet-cum-Ring - Aldo, Bag - H&M, Necklace - Stradivarius}

Leather is probably the second biggest trend of the season. Did I hear you ask, what's the first one?? If yes, you must be living under a rock or a stone-age era where there is no internet, phone or TV! [Ironically, at this point I would give anything to trade places with you!] The first and the topmost single biggest trend of the season is Oxblood or in a layman language, Burgundy hue. I ,personally, am in love with this season's trends, not to mention I have worn them so much that now even A knows every single of those trends by name, category and sequence! Anyways, that's wayyyyy beyond the point I was trying to make, lol! [But seriously, if you are not aware of the trends, why not give a quick run-through this post, HERE!]

I got this leather leggings from Zara last year but never got a chance to wear them. This season, I am getting a good amount of use out of them as they are super chic and trendy and goes with almost anything. Well, not exactly anything unless they are all hip-covering long torso garments :P I feel, if I had got a leather pants instead of leggings, they would have been much more versatile but oh well, I love these too. The exact same story goes for the shoes: Bought-last-year, never-worn, wearing-this-season.

The jewelleries however are all new and super unique. The necklace was not the first pick of any of my friends while shopping in Milan but I loved them the instant I saw it. I guess I have a strong connection to weird, different and super cool things! The bracelet-cum-ring was also a love at first sight. I like how trendy it is inspite of the fact that it's structure is based on ages old jewellery worn by brides in our culture. These are becoming very famous in the States and I can see why.

I put together this outfit to beat the gloomy winter days by adding some color to the greys and blues of the season's palette. And you know what, adding colors does really brighten up a dull day!!

Ravi Bajaj celebrates his 25 years in the Industry! + What I wore

The celebration of Ravi Bajaj's 25 years in the industry was just the way it should have been, an intimate and pleasant affair. With close friends and family present, Mr. Bajaj's heartfelt speech was probably the high point of the whole evening. The journey of his life and the adventures were truly inspiring.

Holiday Transformation: Night Look in a Dress

{Dress - Thrifted, Tights - Asos, Necklace - Zara, Belt - Promod, Shoes - Aldo Bag - Stradivarius, Ring - Forever 21}

In my last Day Look Post I had discussed how to dress down your outfit that you were planning to wear to maybe a Christmas Eve Dinner Party with your friends and family. Run all your errands and take care of all the business in the day and then attend the party at night looking amazing!

All you need to do is:
- Swap Jacket for a statement necklace
- Put on a deep berry lip color
- Swap your purse for a clutch in a bright color to snazz up the outfit
- And last but not the least, wear sky high heels...they can make the simplest outfit look all fancy.

I feel, a statement lips and high heels can change up the whole look instantly. So always carry a pair of your favorite comfortable heels in the trunk of your car and a red lipstick in your bag during the holiday season, who knows...your crush might ask you out for a movie date ;)

Look, Feel & Be Fabulous!!!

Srish

Kristen Stewart: Fashion's New Darling?

Our favorite girl, Kristen has been spotted in a "higher state of fashion" as of late. Some say that there'a a new stylist behind it all but whoever it is, I pray that she keeps swirling her magic wand just the way she is doing it!

Kristen has always been infamous for her relaxed style which mostly consisted of jeans, t-shirt, shirt and converse shoes.I am glad and honestly, happily surprised to see her experiment with fashion, she has the body to carry off any bold outfit and finally it seems that she has realized it.

This neon Dior dress looks young and fresh and I absolutely love the color.

A piece from Erdem's Spring 2013 collection. Not a big fan of the dress, but love the way she has paired this outfit with neon Louboutins.

An absolutely stunning Zuhair Murad Couture dress paired with simple Jimmy Choo pumps.This oozes class. One of my favorite looks on her. The makeup, the dress, the hair, it's perfection!

 Another Zuhair Murad gown and may I just say WOW!
Nobody could have pulled this off better than her.

In Balenciaga, and fabulous!

Her clothes reflect confidence more than anything else and that's what I love about her style. It's not necessarily feminine, rock chic, bohemian, etc, its just confident.

And I think, she looks pretty good in jeans & t-shirt too! Brownie points to her for trading sneakers for these gorgeous pair of studded loafers!

I am pretty smitten by her latest fashion choices. What are your thoughts?
