The much awaited "5-day fashion frenzy" as I like to call it, began on October 6th with some very promising shows. I got to meet so many amazing people and made lovely new friends. I also did the Trend Spotting of cool footwear during the fashion week which was published in Designer Mode. For those who don't know what Designer Mode is, it's a magazine by FDCI(Fashion Design Council of India) which is published only during the fashion week and it covers all sorts of articles and pictures of everything happening at the venue of WIFW. Since, it's only available at the WIFW Venue, I tried to stream live pictures to my best as I wanted my readers to be updated with everything happening in the F Week as well ;)
The Media Accreditation I received by Wills Lifestyle allowed me to access all the shows as well as the Wills Lounge which was super cool but sadly, they did not provide an accreditation for Aman which was very unprofessional of them as I had made it very clear from the beginning that he is my blog partner and I would need him to be with me all the time! There were many more unprofessional behavior on their part but I don't think, leashing out my thoughts here is gonna help the situation. I would just be careful from the next time about who I choose to work with.
This stunning installation by Ranna Gill in the Wills Lifestyle Lounge took my breath away!! Isn't the jacket to-die-for?!!!
I like the designers who go an extra mile to add a little something to their show. I will always remember Atsu Sekhose's show because of this installation...
Few of my favorite footwear spotted on Day 1....
There were many designers and celebrities spotting also happening and I tweeted a lot of pictures of Rajesh Thakore, Pernia Qureshi, Nandini Bhalla, Nida Mahmood etc etc...
One of the most interesting and amazing show was the opening show of Payal Pratap and her cotton peplums, maxi dresses, and very unique silhouettes attracted a lot of attention.
The fabulous show by Rohit Gandhi+Rahul Khanna....dramatic as usual!
The soft flow-y silhouettes by Kiran Uttam Ghosh.
The dramatic and not-so-pret collection of Suneet Verma!
If I had to choose one show which was my favorite from Day 1, it will be Poonam Bhagat! The strong prints, dip-dye effect, long bolero jackets, all had me wanting for more...
Since Aman was not around most of the time, I could not get an outfit picture from Day 1 but as luck had it, I was featured in Designer Mode under the Trend Spotting article for Western Wear :D
You can look forward to a lot more posts from the Fashion week!
