Biba x Style Fashion Etc

Biba is one of the most loved ethnic brand of India and it is a known fact. I personally shop a lot from Biba whenever I need to attend a family gathering that requires me to dress in Indian attire. From the quality to the the fit and collection, Biba offers the best of bests when it comes to ethnic wear. Last month only, my mom asked me to buy an ethnic attire as a holi gift from her and after hours of going through different stores to find something I liked, as speculated, I ended up buying an outfit from Biba. The brand gets the tag of one of the best in Indianwear (retail) on solid grounds.

With new collections in tow, Biba has a lot more to offer than ethnic wear this Summer! Denim, Ikat and Asymmetrical collections are now retailing in the stores and they feature not only kurtas but also tops, palazzo pants, etc! Office and loungewear sorted!

DENIM:
BIBA brings Denim in all new avatars. Digging out denim style from the casual Jeans and Shirt, the brand takes innovation quotient to a new level altogether, with their denim blended traditional wear.

The collection is inspired by the look and feel of denim which is a quintessential part of every modern woman’s wardrobe. The range has a wide variety of cuts and patterns to choose from, such as, classic straight cut, experimental high and low cuts, modern asymmetric cut and different hemlines. One can also choose from the knitted, jacquard and dobby printed options as well.

Ikkat:
Inspired by the traditional handicraft of Gujarat, Ikkat is one of the most versatile trends revamped by BIBA. This summer make a chic statement with Ikkat in traditional kurtas, Tunics, dresses and almost everything .
The collection has extremely fine cotton fabric which blends subtly for summers and gives a boho ethnic look and given its varied prints and colors; there is a lot to choose from.

Asymmetrical:

This summer get in style with BIBA’s asymmetric collection, with varied hemlines and necklines. Get a cocktail of collection from BIBA, from long kurtis to dresses, this range encompasses everything. From traditional to contemporary, a perfect blend of style and comfort. BIBA asymmetric range is your to- go guide for dressing up for a party, formal or casual meeting.

Coachella

Coachella is here again and while I might be miles away from attending it, who's to stop me to get into the spirits of coachella fashion! I have always identified whites and denims as the go-to options for the music festival attendees. It defines Summer color palette perfectly and is easy to style.

I chose the off-shoulder white lace top as it's the best option to keep you cool when you are under the sun for long hours and off-shoulders are all the rage this season. Paired with high-waist denim shorts and some dreamcatcher earrings, the look is easy on the eyes and gives out total music festival vibes, don't you think?

Along with Spring came a new shoe brand in Delhi, you can "Call It Spring". No seriously, that's the brand name. Though the brand is not all that new; it was founded in 1991 in Canada and has its chains across the United States. The founder is none other than Albert "Aldo" Bensadoun, the founder and CEO of the Aldo group. Sounds familiar? ;)

At a more affordable range than Aldo, Call It Spring has a variety of shoe collection ranging from strappy shoes, open toe shoes, flats, sneakers for women to a vast range of collection for mens as well. Not only shoes, you will find amazingly well priced stylish bags also in the stores along with accessories and sunglasses!

I grabbed the opportunity to visit the store along with two of my blogger buddies and try on shoes and prance around in them. The shoes are stylish and comfortable as well. With the killer price range, the comfort factor was like a fresh breeze. I usually used to think, the expensive the shoes, the more comfortable they are but this brand broke this myth and how!

If you all want to go check out this brand, it's located in DLF Promenade opposite Sephora. And if you visit the mall, don't forget to pay a visit to their kiosk setup in the middle of the mall where you can try on a pair, click a shoefie and get vouchers worth Rs.500/- instantly! So, go with your friends, make the most of this offer and get some kicks pairs for the new season!

You can also buy the shoes online on Majorbrands!

Oxolloxo Fashion

Recently, we attended the 2nd Anniversary bash of Oxolloxo at Summerhouse Cafe and got a first hand preview of their Spring Summer'16 collection. Being a small event with few bloggers, the Oxolloxo team itself and few models, it was an absolute fun filled day! We had some really cool activities lined up and the highlight of it all was, we all got to do what we love the best: Styling!

With the new SS16 collection of Oxolloxo which was splashed with the perfect summer hues, prints and trends, it was really fun to put together outfits. We had pastels, whites, off-shoulders, denims, all the latest trends at our disposal along with models and mannequins to style the looks on. The whole day was spent on catching up, snacking on yummy appetizers, sipping virgin mojito, making boomerang videos and checking out the collection.

Asian Paints 'Folk In Vogue'

I have always been into home decor. If I would not have been a stylist and blogger, I would probably be doing interior designing. Having helped my mom during our house's renovation when I was 16, my interests sparked and since then I have been decorating my hostel rooms, my PG rooms and now my flat. What started as a childish hobby is now going to help me design my house which I am really excited about.

And this news couldn't have come at a better time! Asian Paints has a space totally dedicated to it's customers where clients can come and put their creativity and aesthetics into their home decor. With interior designers and all the modern facilities at your disposal, you could put aside all your worries and get exactly what you wish for your dream home.

Asian Paints Signature store at Connaught Place boasts of a unique experience for their customers through which anyone can design and bring to life their dream home. With a wide variety of color schemes to choose from, expert help available on site and the amalgamation of ideas from many talented designers, it makes for a perfect location to get the look for your home that you've always wanted.

Asian paints came up with a theme called ‘Folk in Vogue’ that aims to encapture the old Indian artform with a modern twist. The concept of ‘Folk in Vogue’ revolves around supporting and working with artisans from varied Indian Folk Art spaces, which will help enliven our rich art forms. Also, change is an integral part of life, keeping that in mind Asian Paints has given these traditional Indian Folk Arts a modern spirit, a spirit that successfully fits the changing needs. It also organized a competition at NIFT and asked its students to paint their vision on the college walls.  Students from NIFT came up with some exceptional designs that gives creativity a whole new level.

Keeping in line with the theme, Asian paints celebrated 20 phenomenal women with an event called REVISIT, who have stuck true to their roots and given themselves and the world something splendid, a lot like these beautiful crafts. The event, REVISIT, is about supporting the concept ‘Folk in Vogue‘. Women from around India, from diverse fields, attended the event, who have been highly inspired from their roots and applying them successfully through their careers and life, with changing times.

Date Night Outfit

DSC_6734 DSC_6739 DSC_6742 DSC_6770 DSC_6745 DSC_6753 DSC_6758 DSC_6764
{Jumpsuit/Pearl Ring - Koovs, Bag - Charles and Keith, Watch - Michael Kors, Shoes - Forever 21}

I was reading few articles online the other day and came across this one article that talked about 20 date night outfit ideas. By the moment I was finished with the article, I realised something and then I googled few more such articles and found that almost none of them had mentioned wearing a jumpsuit for a date [I wonder why is that :P]. I think while a dress would be cute to wear for a date if you are going to a fancy restaurant but who's to say that a jumpsuit won't!

I styled this look to prove that jumpsuits could also be one of the options for a dressy evening. This piece is just as comfortable as it is sexy. The fabric is soft and the cuts are intelligently placed. I would wear this outfit to a movie date, dinner date, dinner with friends or even for clubbing. Coz why the hell not!
