Celeb Airport Style

As the Summer holidays kick in, we are all ready to pack our bags and head to our favorite vacation spots. This time of the year calls for a bit of digging into airport style inspirations and I have got some of the best ones right here for you all!

Without any doubt, airport is one of the best places to spot authentic star style. Red carpet silhouettes are gorgeous, but there's something so relatable about the jackets, tops, bottoms, and boots bollywood's chicest pick to get from one base to another. For these stars, travelling is the other name of fashion. So while they make it appear that they are trying hard to travel unnoticed by wearing large glares, or mufflers, they manage to attract even more attention.

And also they do not forget the basic make-up that makes them look fresh even after a tedious 20 hour flight. Sporting comfy yet chic travel ensembles, these hotties sure know how to fly in style.

Sonam Kapoor
Sonam actually shows us what truly comfortable attire is. Draped in a grey-coloured midi dress paired with an old leather jacket, she looks not only trendy but also comfortable. With the burning temperature, this maxi dress makes for a go-to outfit while commuting as it is easy and flowy. If accessorised well, it can make for a chic outfit for a casual day out.

Jacqueline Fernandez
Here is Jacqueline in tight top and wide leg palazzo pants spotted at Mumbai airport. She is sexy yet comfortable in whatever she wears. She managed to show off her sassy style in front of the shutterbugs. The actress continued her streak of wearing body hugging tops at airports. This look is just as easy to achieve as it looks. A simple white t-shirt paired with a comfortable palazzo pants can go a long way when it comes to travelling. If you are not blessed like our pretty Jacky in the mid-section area, do not opt for a crop top. Instead wear a simple hip-length tee tucked in.

Deepika looks all hot and gorgeous in all-black airport look. After wrapping the shoot of Hollywood film xXx, she has now returned to India. The dimpled lass was seen sporting on an on-trend combination of leather jeggings, a bright lip, knee-length boots, shrug and sporty frames to accessorise. We could never feel shy for calling her as our female crush. And while this outfit suggests autumn/winter, we can overlook that coz of the hotness factor and in her defence, the flight can get really cold!

Kareena Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor Khan, the Begum of Pataudi, not only mesmerises with her acting skills but even glues us all with her stunning fashion sense. Whether it is on red carpet, runway or airport, Bebo has stolen our hearts numerous times. But her airport looks have always been splendid. Recently during her Ki and Ka promotion, she was spotted wearing ethnic wear that was simple yet stylish. She wore Anita Dongre white-on-white kurta and palazzo pants and teamed the stunning outfit with breezy ikat print jacket. We have loved her business bags which she carries with her and makes her look powerful.

Alia Bhatt

This cupcake of Bollywood definitely gives us fashion goals. Whenever Alia bhatt is out for her promotions, airport, we just can’t stop loving her fashion sense. She makes every outfit look comfortable and adds a cool vibe. The cotton candy dress by Maoklee is her sweetest look and perfectly complements her personality. Whatever it is, the young Bhatt girl is making all the right waves especially when it comes to styling. Alia reflects what she wears-young, energetic, vibrant and chirpy is all we think in our minds about her.

Malaika Arora

The hot mama of Bollywood, Malaika Arora has a sophisticated style which could never go wrong. Her Instagram is filled with her chic and casual looks, but when she is spotted at the airport, she makes a remarkable memory for us to remember. The world is going crazy behind the ripped denim and her white spaghetti crop top. She looked flawless beauty and we loved her white crop top.

Kangana Ranaut

Here comes the lady whose clothes never wear her. Instead she wears her clothes with an attitude you cannot help but admire. The Queen of Bollywood is known for her versatile acting and the way she carries herself. Her airport look is perfect for the summer, and we find her ravishing in the beige  maxi dress by Bebe and tan flats. She was seen making her way out of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai wearing a maxi dress with her hair tied in a bun. Perfect for women during summers while travelling, isn’t it?

If it feels impossible to not have a girl crush on Gigi Hadid. There's something about her that makes it nearly impossible to not feel like she'd be a rock-star real-life friend.
Gigi is at the front of the pack of today's social-media-savvy models who come to jobs and runways with massive follower numbers. She looks great in the crop top and joggers along with a coverup, her go-to airport look!

Selena Gomez

The 23 year old beauty opted to dress up in an all-denim ensemble. She wore a classy high waist denim trousers, which showed a hint of her toned abs. The high waist of the trousers balanced the risqué bralet and ensured it wouldn’t look tacky. She completed her chic casual look with a pair of black heels. Selena kept her look natural but who knew she could look this chic in head-to-toe denims!

Blake Lively

All white, all white, all white! That’s what Blake Lively was seen in when she came to the Cannes. She arrived at the airport conquering the baggage claim in a monochromatic look. She kept it warm in a lightweight Burberry trench with black leather trim. The coat matched her Burberry pants. Lively, who’s expecting her second child with Ryan Reynolds, stood tall in brown and gold sandals and toted her carry-ons in a quilted black bag.

With the outfit, makeup and hair always on point, one could easily overlook the dwindling quality of skin and hair. I have fallen prey to this issue and my skin suffered with pimples and acne but with regular care and burning a hole in my wallet, I have somehow partially managed to bring back the flawless skin I used to have once upon a time. But hair... the damage that hair suffers is very difficult to mend. You can only become cautious of your hair's health and heed the warning signs of it's detrimenting quality. The measures I have taken towards the same involves a big part of avoiding heat and regular nourishing along with regular consumption of fish oil/omega-3 supplements. Now, my hair gets very frizzy and wavy sans heat styling so I have no option but to resort to blowdrying the front top sections that frame my face and let the rest of the hair to air-dry. This has also pushed me towards experimenting with and sporting new hairstyles. For a recent Wella event I attended, I put my hair in braids and surprisingly got a lot of appreciation from Patrick Cameron, one of the world's most renowned hairstylists and Wella's spokesperson for last 25 years. Apparently, side braids are very much in trend this season! Who knew the act of hair redemption will put me on the trending list!

Meanwhile, with the soaring temperature, it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to put on a pair of pants and hence, I have been resorting to dresses and shorts. This blue maxi dress is by Spring Break and I had shared pictures of the outfit last Monday on my Snapchat (Srishsfe) and got more than 50 screenshots and messages asking me where did I get it from. You can buy it from Koovs.com! There you go, made your Thursday a little better, didn't I? And if not, cheer up anyway, weekend is near!

So, the latest event that happened in town was hosted by the brand John Players at their main store outlet in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi where the bloggers came along to style up their male models in the new classic collection called John Player Jeans. This is the first time that the brand has introduced denim wear in their collection. If you are looking for wide range of options and smart fit, John Players provides that all. This S/S'16 collection offers its patrons with an infinite range of casuals, formals and denim. Every blogger borught out the best out of their model. My model, Sanad had a fun time (in his own words) styling looks with me. He is a football fanatic and got quite excited when he noticed all the props he could pose with. The idea was to showcase the men as not only stylish but also passionate about a hobby. All the men I personally know have inculcated a hobby or two that defines them. Aman is into fitness, extremely regular to gyms and very particular about his high-protein diet. Rohman is multi-talented with his many skills, few of them being singing, playing guitar, playing football, cricket, badminton and a lot of video games. My brother even, he is into guitars and video games. Anyway, coming back to the event itself, while there was no football, Sanad did play around with the basket ball and the pictures came out great, full of life and passion! I loved this idea of introducing props for the shoot.

World Interior Day

People often get inspirational ideas from movies be it for fashion trends or the interiors of the house, people admire what the famous artists carry with themselves. On the occasion of World Interior Day, the production designer- Shruti Gupte was invited for an interactive workshop with us.

_DSC5533

This day was celebrated in the Asian Paints-signature Colour Store, New Delhi on 27th may`16. The Colour Store in CP was set up for educating consumers and interior décor enthusiasts on colours and designs, how they can change their space and interact with the master itself. The film production designer lighted up the surroundings by briefing us about her own experience with the film sets and spaces and also telling us how we could get idea for the same.

_DSC5568 _DSC5596

The theme was ‘Intelligent & Inspirational Interiors, from Silver Screens to Your Home’ and the Colour Store initiative offered consumers the unique opportunity to bring to their homes, the look and feel that they love, admire and aspire for, from their favourite films. Shruti Gupte has already designed homes and interiors for movie like Aisha, Taare Zamin Par, Khoobsurat and Lunchbox and she very well understands the modern day requirement of the customers. While giving insights of the films she has worked for, she covered different aspects of the decorating the space inside out and tips on how one like us could use the same designs in our own spaces. One could never had imagined the minute details and process behind creating a set or a movies space. The space not only means to decorate the house or the set like that, but by matching up with the personalities living there. The space should matchup and coordinate with the person who is living there.

After all the fun known facts about her experience with films set, there was a fun DIY activity in which we could decide upon our very own mood board if we could have designed our spaces. There were various wall arts and to match up with that some fabrics, wall paper samples, textured cut outs, and many more things. The activity was to engage consumers on painting and décor through events at the Colour Store. The workshop was very impactful and we got to know many things about the whole theme and for those who are always looking for new ideas to do up their personal spaces, do visit the Asian Paints’ Colour Store, CP and get in touch with the best experts.

A date with Patrick Cameron at Wella Professionals

The other day I attended a fabulous event hosted by Wella Professionals at Select Citywalk where we got to meet and interact with Patrick Cameron, one of the world's most renowned hairdressers. It was a fun couple of hours chatting about hair textures, hair trends, frizz, hairspray tricks and easy quick hairstyles for the lazy girls.

IMG_4366 IMG_4368

Wella brought the global ambassador-Patrick Cameron to India to educate hair stylists across three cities through grand shows. His most recent appearance was at the Cannes Festival where he worked on a special premier from the movie Trolls starring Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. And now in India he showcased his latest collection MODERN VINTAGE S/S'16 with the art of styling products from the Wella Professionals portfolio. This collection takes the inspiration from the 1960’s because of the past's influence in fashion today. He has spent the last 25 years in this industry working on heads from all over the world.

IMG_4372

Known as a long hair expert, in the bloggers session Patrick Cameron interacted with us and gave easy tips, tricks and solution to various problems of ours. He also showcased step-by-step looks to us who struggle with styling curly or straight hair.  He gave demonstration on lazy girl hairstyles, on-the-go hairstyle and many more new tips and tricks, I shared a lot of them live on my Snapchat (Srishsfe) and if you don't follow me there, do so now so that you don't miss any of such informative updates in future.

IMG_4389 IMG_4423 IMG_4426

Here are some facts, tips or tricks by the expert himself-
· Wella Luxeoil can be used as a finishing product to add shine to hair
· Ponytails or buns should be proportionate to chin and ear.
·  Messy bun is a big YES this season.
·  Simple yet messy half ponytail is also in trend.
·  Make bobbin pins your best friends and do not hesitate to use them.
·  Round up bobbin pin around ponytail to create a bess to pin in the messy bun.
   ·  Back combing increases hair fall is a myth.
·   Cover hair sprayed portion with hand to get heat from hands and control frizz.
·  Buns and hair padding is the latest trend.
·  Multiple braiding can also be included in regular hairdos to add more character.
·  Hair colour shade should be according to the skin tone.

It was one of the most inspiring events which provided an opportunity for us to watch this hair magician at work. And I cannot wait to apply these tricks in my daily lifestyle and make my hair look fabulous all the time!
