The Devil Wears Prada

Of all the girls who love fashion, at least 99% of them love the movie "The Devil Wears Prada", I am sure of it. And if you fall under that 1% category...honey, you need to reflect on your life and see the movie if you haven't already! The movie completed 10 years few days ago and to pay my respects, I styled an outfit inspired by our beloved Andy aka Anne Hathaway.

After Andy Sachs gets her makeover by Nigel, a fairy godmother (or godfather?) we can only wish for, she flaunts the most covetable outfits that was stylish way back then in 2006 and even now, 10 years later in 2016! Her fall looks were to-die-for and a little secret, before buying any winter coat or jacket, I think to myself, would Nigel approve of this? The fringe I sported last year was a small effort to look half as chic as Andy did. Needless to say, got nowhere even close but who's stopping me to try?

Andy wore her red skirt with a chic white top but I took my own spin on it and wore a black crop top. As far as I can recall, she did not wear crop tops at all but then again, it was 2006 and crop tops became the rage in past few years only. The interesting thing about this look is while it looks chic and expensive, it is very very affordable as the whole look is by Forever 21 and you can easily recreate it!
