How many of you are familiar with the term "Athleisure"? If you hear yourself thinking you are not, you have come to the right place and even if you think you do, doesn't harm to learn a thing or two new, does it?

This trend can be best described as sportswear but you can wear it outside the gym. Sounds too good to be true no? Well, it sort of originated from following off-duty model style icons like Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne. These girls carry their sportswear in a nonchalant chic manner which is honestly something to envy about. They will put their sweats on and tie their hair in a messy bun and will somehow still manage to look flawless. Ugh! Not all of us are blessed with a great body, hair and skin and cannot look as graceful as Kendall Jenner walking around in sports bra and yoga pants...I mean, what is up with that!

But, we all can too channel their style in our own way! Keep in mind, this trend has a high tendency of looking sloppy if not done right. So, few things to pay attention to while acing the athleisure trend:
1. Do not wear worn out pieces be it sweatshirt, leggings or shoes. The trick is to keep looking polished AND comfortable. The clothes should not be crumbled and the shoes should not be dirty.
2. Break it up and mix it up especially when you are wearing co-ordinates or tracksuit like I did here. I added a crop top to break up the monotony of the co-ordinates. Similarly, you can add maybe a flannel shirt to a tracksuit or add a leather jacket to make it more street style.
3. Dress it up by pairing a sweatshirt with a skirt or drape a bomber jacket over a dress. It's always fun to add little touches of this trend and still keep it casual and cute.
4. Don't wear the same leggings to the gym in the morning and then carry on with your day without changing out of your sweaty clothes just because it's a trend. It's for comfort, not laziness! And besides, sweaty gym clothes can give you body acne.
5. If you are going anywhere wearing your leggings besides gym, know the difference between pants and leggings. It is not okay to not cover your butt. Just tie a shirt around your waist for a quick fix!
6. Easiest way to sport this trend is to wear cute sneakers, they can be paired with denims, dresses, skirts, almost anything!
